What has been your experience working with The Falling Company?
Working with Marissa Wong/The Falling Company for a week and workshopping a new solo she was choreographing on me was such an incredibly beautiful experience. Marissa cultivated a space that felt safe as we dove into a deep process exploring our curiosities around the duality of anger and joy or pleasure. We explored how to recall, both memories from within the room and that are (maybe intentionally or unintentionally) held in the body. How we can re-live our experiences and find humour in challenging life moments? Throughout the week we crafted a practice focusing on the longevity of this exploration beyond-production. I am so excited to continue this practice as a performance and feel honoured to continue to work with The Falling Company as this practice and production continue to evolve.
