PLUNGE
A mentored project in creation and performance
The Falling Company is proud to announce the launch of PLUNGE, our Mentorship Project! This project is a paid mentored project in creation and performance providing opportunities for artists ages 19-25 seeking a career in dance, lighting design, sound design, stage management, and costume design.
MOVEMENT AUDITION DATE*
April 2, 2023 | 2:00-4:00pm |@ The Dance Centre
1:45pm Sign-in & studio available for warm-up
Class will consist of movement phrases and improvisation scores led by Artistic Director, Marissa Wong, and another local choreographer.
*Advanced registration required. No fees accompany this audition.
*Video submissions are welcome, please email info@thefallingcompany.com
ELIGIBILITY
- Artists must be available for an engagement period from September 10-October 22, 2023
- We encourage artists of all movement types to attend our audition
- Artists must identity as emerging or early-career
- Artists must reside within BC or are situated in Vancouver for the engagement period
PRODUCTION APPLICATIONS
Applicants for lighting design, sound design, stage management, and costume design do not require a movement audition. A separate production application will be available soon.
Fall into the excitement
Featuring dancer, Caroline MacCaull, and choreography by Marissa Wong, BLOOM brings together four artists to engage in choreographic residency and presentation. 5-minute dances are shared live before an intimate audience, accompanied by sommelier-selected wine pairings and comic commentary.
