Madison Coulter (she/her) has had dance in her life since the age of 3. She started off taking baby ballet classes taught by her mom, and eventually worked her way up into elite training at a vocational level. She has danced at many studios around the lower mainland, participating in local competitions as well as international ones. Madison also has completed the Royal Academy of Dance exams up to Advanced 1 which she finished in May of 2018. After graduating high school in 2020, she grew a passion for the administrative side of the arts and seeing how things worked behind-the-scenes. After rekindling a relationship with Marissa Wong through her former contemporary teacher, Amber Funk Barton, she has been assisting The Falling Company with administrative work since the Spring of 2021. In August 2023, she accepted the position of Box Office Assistant with Ballet BC.
What has been your experience working with The Falling Company?
Working with Marissa Wong and The Falling Company has been such a great opportunity. To be able to work alongside her as she works to grow the company has been incredibly special. I’ve had the chance to be a second stage hand during rehearsals and performances, as well as be a part of the panel at our PLUNGE auditions. I have gained so much experience working this job and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future!
